Your Key Responsibilities
- Single point of contact for relationship management / dispute resolution between supplier and plant.
- Lead the assigned commodity and support purchasing manager / director in strategic planning processes and project management.
- Monitor costs and status of negotiations, contract status, and percent of spend under contract, while maintaining and ensuring agreements remain active and in place.
- Develop and drive price reductions within the commodity.
- Negotiate with supplier to acceptable pricing levels and onboarding.
- Secure required approvals for awards and issue purchase orders to the supply base.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of related purchasing experience.
- Strong blueprint comprehension.
- Basic mechanical and technical comprehension.
- Experienced in working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Power BI.
