Location: Hybrid (Charlotte, NC)/Remote
Essential Functions:
- Definition and documentation of the software interfaces of all sub-systems.
- Definition and monitoring of the controls test levels of all sub-systems.
- Implementation and verification of the software safety requirements in compliance with the specifications from the technical engineering.
- Design, configuration, programming, and commissioning of complex control systems for automation projects, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI.
- Startup, pre-commissioning, commissioning and PLC software parametrization for Schaefer equipment.
- Plausibility check of the performance measurement protocol and handover protocol for installation.
- Produce and review control system documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures, technical reports and special equipment functionalities.
- Work in contact with project team and IT team, participating in meetings related to the project.
- Work in contact to customer service when needed.
- Minimum of 50% travel within the US but may also include some international travel.
Qualification Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work.
- Minimum of 2-years experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens S7 PLC’s in the intralogistics industry.
- 2-year experience developing software using software languages specified by IEC 61131-1 standards.
- Minimum of 50% national and/or international travel.
- Spanish-speaking considered a plus.
