Position Overview

We are seeking a Brake Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press machines to bend sheet metal according to blueprints and work orders.

• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using measurement tools such as calipers and protractors.

• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and dies as needed to ensure precision.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and job instructions.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).

• Previous brake press or machine operation experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring devices.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
