This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts according to specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake press machines to bend sheet metal according to blueprints and work orders.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using measurement tools such as calipers and protractors.
- Adjust machine settings, tooling, and dies as needed to ensure precision.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and job instructions.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
- Previous brake press or machine operation experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
