What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent - Piping HVAC position at SCG MECHANICAL LP?
Way Mechanical is located in Irving, TX. We specialize in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping and the maintenance of these systems. Way Mechanical is at the forefront of building, design assist, preconstruction, commissioning, building information modeling and quality control. Way Mechanical is currently in need of a Pipefitter Superintendent to join the team!
Requirements:
- Able to pass a drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the US
- High school diploma
- Current driver’s license
- Proficient in English language
- 7-10 years of experience running Pipefitting projects
- Line out all field employees in region based off project needs
- Attend bi-weekly Job Cost Meetings with specific answers for every project in region
- Report to corporate headquarters daily
- Establish relationship with regional General Manager and communicate with them daily
- Train your foreman and potential foreman
- Read, understand, and analyze blueprints and specifications
- Prepare, understand, and analyze blueprints and specifications
- Full knowledge of chill water, heating water, condenser water system and different materials used
- Work with fellow employees with a respectful and tolerant attitude
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Line out employees each day for your region
- Work necessary hours to hit mandatory deadlines
- Ensure your Foreman fill out Daily Reports, 3 Week Look Aheads, percent complete on project, and make them accountable to turn in employee’s time
- Communicate with Project Managers and Foreman and General Manager every day
- Attend onsite meetings with Mechanical and GC when necessary
- Ensure Foreman install the highest quality product
- Represent Way Mechanical in a professional manner
