We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a background in commercial mechanical systems (HVAC and plumbing) for large new construction projects. The Superintendent will oversee field operations, coordinate with project teams, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of mechanical systems. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage crews and subcontractors on complex commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field operations for HVAC and plumbing installation on large commercial projects
- Direct, schedule, and supervise crews, subcontractors, and foreman to ensure work is performed safely, one time, and to specifications
- Coordinator with project managers, engineers, and general contractors to maintain project schedules and resolve conflicts
- Ensure compliance with design documents, codes, and company quality standards
- Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company safety policies
- Track progress, manpower, and materials to ensure productivity and budget alignment
- Conduct daily/weekly site meetings and provide progress updates to project leadership
- Assist in planning project logistics, sequencing of work, and manpower forecasting
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues related to mechanical and plumbing systems
- Mentor and support field staff to develop skills and maintain high performance standards
Qualifications:
- 7 Years of field experience in commercial mechanical constructions (HVAC and plumbing required)
- 3 years in a Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar leadership role on large-scale projects $20 Million preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, specifications, and building codes
- Proven ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and schedules effectively
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Ability to interpret and coordinate BIM models and shop drawings
- Proficiency with project management software and digital field tools
