Electrical Technician (Harness Assembly)

About the Position:
Sceye is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician with a strong background in harness assembly to support the development of our high-altitude platform systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in precision work, from harness fabrication and integration to testing and validation of electrical systems.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to support the production, integration, and testing of critical electrical components. Your work will play an essential role in ensuring system reliability and performance, helping bring complex aerospace systems from concept to reality.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, values craftsmanship, and is excited to contribute to building and scaling advanced aerospace technologies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Build, route, and install electrical harnesses, ensuring proper terminations, crimping, and soldering in accordance with aerospace standards
- Assist in the assembly and integration of electrical components, including connectors, circuit boards, and avionics systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to support accurate builds
- Perform testing and troubleshooting, including continuity checks and insulation resistance verification, to ensure harness integrity
- Inspect work and ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety protocols, and aerospace regulations
- Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to support system integration and resolve technical challenges
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of direct experience in electrical harness assembly, wiring, in automotive or aerospace field.
- Proficiency in crimping, soldering, box builds and connector assembly
- Knowledge of connector types (e.g., JST, Molex, MIL-spec connectors)
- Familiarity with cable lacing, shielding, and insulation techniques
- Understanding of continuity testing and multimeter use
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Strong understanding of cable routing, strain relief, and aerospace/automotive wiring standards
- Hands-on experience using tools such as wire strippers, heat shrink tubing, and torque wrenches
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in aerospace, aviation, or high-tech manufacturing
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or similar (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, etc.)
- Ability to adapt and troubleshoot in a dynamic R&D environment
