Certified Dog Groomer (HAIR TRIMMING EXPERIENCE ONLY!!!)

About the Position:

The Dog Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering dog first knowledge and providing trimming services to customers.

This Dog Groomer position requires:

• At least one year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school
• Knowledge of dog behavior, care standards, and tool and equipment handling
• Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
  
  
  

Who We Are Looking For:

We are searching for a confident dog groomer who loves to work with dogs! We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, empathetic adaptable, and a compassionate team player to join our team! An individual with a take charge attitude, and an interest in all things leadership and training is a plus!

Tasks

• Trim to Scenthound standards
• Focused on functional trims, our 5 types of haircuts consist of one length all-over with a neat face
• Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
• Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
• Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
• Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning best practices
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager
