Full Time Day Shift (7a-7p)
Weekend Schedule - Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday & requires overnight call
Job Summary:
- Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data
- Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
- Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
- Works under general supervision
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
- Must be willing to take call after hours (7p-7a overnight, Holiday and weekends)
Qualifications:
- Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager
- Requires a two-year allied health degree and successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology
- 2 years of experience in the field with exams including but not limited to US ABD, US OBGYN, US ARTERIAL & VASCULAR, US PYLORUS
- Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
