What You’ll Do

  • Driver Leadership: Build strong relationships with drivers, guiding their professional growth while maintaining high standards for safety, efficiency, and service. 
  • Dispatch & Scheduling: Build weekly driver schedules and oversee daily local dispatching for local pickups and backhauls. 
  • Tech & Troubleshooting: Assist drivers using tools like GeoTab, EPOD, and Hootboard, and handle after-hours problem solving. 
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure complete compliance with OSHA, DOT, local, state, and federal regulations. 
  • Route Coverage: Occasionally run delivery routes when needed to keep operations running smoothly. 

What We Require

  • Industry Experience: Foodservice delivery experience or an equivalent industry (e.g., beverage delivery). 
  • Licensing & Clearance: Active Class A CDL, valid DOT Medical Card, and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance. 
  • Education & Computer Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand, drive, lift/move up to 75 lbs, and reach boxes consistently at a height of 5.5 feet. 
  • Professional Attributes: Strong communication skills, self-directed work ethic, and a team-first customer service attitude.

Overview

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for building relationships with Company drivers while helping them grow as professionals. This position will create an environment that focuses on Safety, Efficiency, and Customer Satisfaction. Also while making sure to comply with all company policies with responsibility for ensuring all DOT, local, state, & federal regulations are followed.   


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining good relationship with all drivers;
  • Responsible for setting high standards for Safety, Efficiency, and Customer Satisfaction while holding our drivers accountable;
  • Responsible for maintaining the weekly schedule for the drivers; 
  • Responsible for daily dispatching of local drivers for TDs, local pickups, backhauls, etc.;
  • Occasionally run routes as needed;
  • Helps to maintain GeoTab, EPOD, Hootboard, and any other technology meant to help drivers do their job more effectively and efficiently;
  • Responsible for after hours problem solving;
  • Complies with OSHA and DOT standards; 
  • Acts in a stewardship capacity for the Company, works as a functional member of the team, has ability to self-direct and self-regulate work-day;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Placement Criteria

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, or 3-5 years in the field or in a related area, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience preferred;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Class A CDL, Valid DOT Medical card and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance. 
  • Foodservice Delivery experience or equivalent relatable industry experience.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is consistently required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must consistently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. and must be able to retrieve boxes consistently from a height of 5 ½ foot. 





Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
