What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dental Assistant – Prompt 7:15 AM Start Required position at Scasta Family Dentistry?
Our office is looking for a friendly, bright, self-motivated individual to join our team with 3-5 years experience. The job is full time Monday thru Thursday 7:15am to 4:30pm, occasional half day Friday. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. This position requires an assistant who is dependable, takes initiative and approaches all situations with a positive attitude.
Dental Assistant Duties:
- Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments.
- Caring for and tending to office dental equipment.
- Take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipment
- Lab work: building splints, cleaning lab, filing, etc.
- Organizing orthodontic instruments, supplies, and assisting doctor chairside in treating orthodontic patients
- Taking impressions, pouring models, mounting cases – must be high quality and accurate!
- Process cases and prepare cases for lab shipment
- Keeping track of and ordering lab supplies as needed
- Assist with other office duties as requested or needed
- Versed in DENTRIX ( PREFERRED but not REQUIRED )
- Experience with orthodontics ( PREFERRED but not REQUIRED )
Dental Assistant Requirements:
- Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assistance program.
- Dental x-ray certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
