**Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help ensure a comfortable and efficient patient experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient care by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and providing chair-side assistance during dental procedures.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays (medical imaging)
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental
- Provide chair-side assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and dental procedures
- Perform dental receptionist duties when needed
- Take vital signs and record medical documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
-Willingness to be a team player and learn new tasks
**Experience:**
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with pediatric dental procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in handling medical records and documentation
- Ability to take accurate vital signs
- Experience with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software is preferred
-Spanish speaking is a plus
