US Customs Brokerage Specialist

Position Overview:

Scarbrough Global is looking for a motivated and experienced Customs Brokerage Specialist to join our team in Laredo, Texas. The Customs House Brokerage Specialist at Scarbrough serves as the representative of the company to our customers and is responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance of our clients import activities. Often referred to as "the face" of the company, our representatives are expected not only to meet, but to exceed our customers' expectations.

In his or her role, a Customs House Brokerage Specialist has the following expectations:
Maintain a positive and productive relationship with customers, colleagues and vendors
Communicate openly and proactively with customers, colleagues and vendors
Prepare compliant ISF submissions as well as import and export customs entries
Establish dialogue with various government agencies to facilitate resolution on import and export matters
Demonstrate accounting skills including client invoicing and vendor payables

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Industry experience in CHB is preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Rapid and accurate data input abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities
• Demonstrate attention to detail and a sense of ownership
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
