We are seeking an experienced, organized, and compassionate Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement or trial.
Responsibilities
- Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records
- Request and track medical bills, liens, and other damages documentation
- Draft complaints and assist with filing litigation documents
- Draft, propound, and respond to written discovery
- Prepare settlement demand packages
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and gather information
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
- Coordinate case progression and maintain litigation deadlines
- Negotiate and obtain reductions of medical bills and liens
- Prepare settlement disbursements and draft closing statements
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
- Assist attorneys with case preparation for mediation, settlement conferences, and trial as needed
Qualifications
- 5 years of prior plaintiff personal injury litigation experience required
- Knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures and deadlines
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and settlement demands
- Familiarity with medical records, billing, liens, and personal injury damages
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
