Part-Time Administrative Assistant
Family Resource Center (Project HOPES)
Location: Eagle Pass, Texas
Serving Children and Adults in Need (SCAN) is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our Family Resource Center (FRC) under Project HOPES, a program serving families with young children. The Family Resource Center (FRC) provides family support services, resource navigation, and family engagement activities to promote child safety, development, and overall family well-being.
Position Summary:
Provides administrative and program support to the FRC Coordinator, assists with family services, and supports outreach and engagement activities.
Key Resposibilities:
- Provide administrative and clerical support (filing, copying, data collection, organizing materials).
- Assist the FRC Coordinator with daily operations and program activities.
- Make reminder calls and follow-ups with families regarding services and events.
- Support and participate in outreach activities and community events.
- Assist with planning and implementation of family events, including helping with childcare during activities.
- Provide direct and supportive interaction with families.
- Run program-related errands as needed.
- Help prepare materials and supplies for events.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time position with flexible schedule.
- Weekly hours may vary based on program needs and scheduled activities.
- Availability for evenings and weekends is required, depending on events and outreach activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible, organized, and responsive to changing program needs.
- Basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office/ Excel)
- Service-oriented and able to work with diverse families
- Experience working with families, children, or in a social services setting preferred.
