The Role
ScaleView Partners is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our Austin team. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Austin, TX — remote applicants will not be considered. Candidates must be based in Austin or willing to relocate prior to start.
This is an entry-level role designed for high-performing individuals who want to build a career in technology investment banking and gain exposure to founder-led software transactions in the lower middle market.
As an Analyst, you will work closely with Associates and senior bankers across every phase of a transaction. You’ll support core execution workstreams, build foundational technical skills, and gain direct exposure to founders, buyers, and investors — with increasing responsibility over time.
Location Requirement
This is a full-time, in-office role in Austin, TX. We do not offer remote or hybrid options for this position. Candidates must be based in Austin or able to relocate prior to start without assistance. Preference will be given to candidates currently living in Austin.

What You'll Do
Support transaction execution. Assist deal teams across M&A and capital-raising processes, contributing to key workstreams and learning how transactions progress from kickoff through closing.
Build and maintain financial analyses. Develop core SaaS analyses — including ARR builds, retention and churn analyses, and customer unit economics — and support financial modeling under the guidance of senior team members.
Develop marketing materials. Support the creation of Confidential Information Memoranda, management presentations, and pitch materials, with a strong focus on clarity, accuracy, and storytelling.
Participate in client and buyer interactions. Join calls and meetings with founders, investors, and acquirers, gaining exposure to how transactions are run in real time.
Support process coordination. Help manage data rooms, track diligence requests, and maintain organization across complex, multi-party processes.
Contribute to business development. Assist with research and materials that support new client engagements.

What We’re Looking For
0–2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory, or a related field. Top undergraduate candidates with strong internships will also be considered.
Strong analytical foundation. Comfortable working in Excel and able to learn financial modeling quickly; prior modeling experience is a plus, but not required.
Exceptional attention to detail. You take pride in producing accurate, polished work and catching mistakes others miss.
Clear communicator. Strong writing skills and the ability to synthesize information into structured, concise outputs.
High ownership and work ethic. You are reliable, responsive, and willing to do what it takes to support the team and meet deadlines.
Genuine interest in technology and entrepreneurship. You are curious about software business models and energized by working with founders.
Based in Austin, TX or willing to relocate prior to start date at your own expense. Preference for candidates currently living in Austin.
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
