About the Opportunity
A well-established, fun environment, and fast-growing General Contractor in the South Florida market is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on high-end commercial projects. The company specializes in delivering complex, fast-paced builds for national brands, boutique concepts, and repeat clients across the Tri-County region. Projects include interior build-outs, ground-up commercial, high-end retail, hospitality, restaurants, and specialty construction.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder with strong leadership, excellent communication, and a track record of delivering quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization to close-out.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel daily.
- Ensure project scope, schedule, safety plans, and quality standards are met.
- Maintain and update look-ahead schedules and daily logs.
- Oversee site safety compliance, toolbox talks, and enforcement of company and OSHA standards.
- Conduct site walks, inspections, punch lists, and ensure completion of deliverables.
- Partner with Project Manager on RFI responses, change orders, and project planning.
- Manage materials, deliveries, equipment, and sequencing to keep workflow efficient.
- Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, and inspectors.
- Troubleshoot field issues proactively and recommend solutions.
- Represent the builder with professionalism and a customer-service mindset.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Successful track record completing retail, restaurant, hospitality, and/or interior build-out projects.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-end, detail-driven environments.
- Deep understanding of construction means and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and specifications.
- Strong subcontractor management and field coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management software is a plus.
- OSHA 30 preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the Tri-County area.
