We are a licensed and accredited Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment facility dedicated to providing exceptional care through evidence-based practices, compassionate support, and a commitment to compliance with all regulatory standards. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.
Position Overview
The Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist will ensure that the facility maintains continuous compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO) Standards and other applicable regulations. This role involves conducting thorough chart audits, monitoring documentation quality, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to uphold the highest standards of patient care and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain compliance with Joint Commission Standards and other state/federal regulations.
Perform regular chart audits to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards.
Identify gaps or deficiencies in records and follow up with appropriate staff to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Provide staff training and support on documentation requirements and compliance procedures.
Monitor and track audit results, preparing reports for leadership review.
Assist in preparation for accreditation surveys and inspections.
Stay updated on evolving compliance requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Required: Prior experience working with Joint Commission Standards in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
Required: Experience conducting chart audits in a clinical environment.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health, Nursing, or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of medical record documentation requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with KIPU or similar platform a plus).
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm
Pay: $23-$25/hr. (Depending on Experience)
Salary : $23 - $25
