Company DescriptionOn-SitePay Rate: $34/hr DOE 6 mo contractJob DescriptionStrong customer orientation and strong negotiating skillsBackground in import logistics, global import operations, and Customs ComplianceDevelops and maintains operational plans to include all business requirements of customersProvides pricing for ocean/air/trucking freight with carriers, 3rd party logistics providersSOP/Work Instructions maintenance and ensuring operational best practice in line with customer requirements as well as ensuring operational SOP complianceResponsible for developing and enforcing standard operating procedures to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to shipments and transportationBuilds relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal team members, and helps resolve any freight problems that may ariseReviews KPIs for each business and performance regularly for customer satisfactionLearns and follows company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behaviorPerforms ad-hoc reporting, as requiredPerforms other job-related duties as requiredQualificationsMust have a minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics operations (import/export/trucking, etc.)Minimum of 3 years of work experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry (Ocean/Air Carrier) for Sr. Staff levelWarehouse (WMS) experience preferredStrong Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint preparation skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects while paying close attention to detailBilingual in English and Korean preferredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsGreat interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate openly and effectivelyWorks well under pressure and has a sense of urgencyStrong work ethicProficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and WordBachelor’s Degree preferredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
