As the Design Operations Manager, you will manage the operational health, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic execution of the design department. You will bridge the gap between design, product, development, marketing, and business stakeholders. To ensure that design projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

What you'll own
- Lead day-to-day design operations: timelines, briefs, asset handoffs, approvals.
- Oversee all product design output across apparel, inflatables, and equipment.
- Streamline the end-to-end design lifecycle, identifying inefficiencies and eliminating workflow bottlenecks.
- Maintain and enforce brand standards across DTC, wholesale, and marketing.
- Facilitate team meetings, including sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives.
- Translate the product launch calendar into design schedules.
- Provide clear, cross-team visibility into design schedules, resource constraints, and project milestones.
- Standardize the digital workspace, design systems, and project management tools.
- Manage freelancers and external designers.
- Partner with Ecomm, Merchandising and Marketing leads on assets for campaigns, PDPs, and sell-in decks.
- Own the creative pipeline for new products per season.
- 3 years in design / creative production in apparel, streetwear, or sportswear
- Experience managing a studio or team with multiple concurrent workstreams
- Strong product design knowledge.
- Sharp project management skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience in standard design and project management tools (e.g. Miro, Figma, Asana,
- Notion, Google Docs, or similar)
- Background in youth sports, basketball culture, or the AAU ecosystem
- Experience managing design for wholesale,
- DTC, sporting goods, etc.
- Understanding of IMU, margin targets, and how design affects cost structure
