About Alexx Kesh Design Studio

Alexx Kesh Design Studio is a Los Angeles-based interior design studio specializing in refined residential and boutique commercial interiors. Our work is highly customized, detail-driven, and rooted in our philosophy of Functional Luxury—creating spaces that are both elevated and thoughtfully designed for everyday use.

We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Project Manager to guide projects from design development through construction, installation, and closeout.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, communication-focused position for someone who understands both interior design and construction execution. Working directly with the Founder and Principal Designer, you will be responsible for keeping projects organized, teams aligned, and information moving between clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and our internal design team.

The Principal Designer will continue to lead the overall creative direction. Your role will be to translate that direction into clear timelines, coordinated deliverables, actionable next steps, and consistent follow-through.

The right candidate is equally comfortable walking a construction site, reviewing project documentation, communicating with a client, and managing the many details required to move a design project forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple residential and boutique commercial interior design projects from design development through construction and installation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, meeting calendars, deliverables, and internal task lists.
  • Serve as a primary point of coordination between clients, general contractors, architects, consultants, trades, vendors, and the internal design team.
  • Attend job-site meetings, document open items, communicate design intent, and ensure decisions and follow-ups are completed.
  • Review construction documents, shop drawings, millwork details, finish schedules, submittals, and vendor proposals for coordination.
  • Track approvals, samples, RFIs, revisions, change requests, lead times, deliveries, and installation dates.
  • Identify potential conflicts or delays early and proactively work with the appropriate parties to develop solutions.
  • Coordinate custom millwork, materials, finishes, fixtures, FF&E, procurement timelines, and installations.
  • Prepare clear meeting agendas, recaps, action lists, and client-facing project updates.
  • Delegate tasks to the internal team and maintain accountability across project deadlines.
  • Support a polished, organized, and highly responsive client experience throughout every phase of the project.
  • Help establish and improve project-management systems as the studio continues to grow.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of project-management experience within interior design, architecture, construction, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of the construction process and experience working directly with contractors, trades, vendors, and consultants.
  • Experience managing projects during active construction, including regular site coordination.
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, finish schedules, millwork drawings, and construction details.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several active projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, professional, and composed when navigating project challenges.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • High attention to detail without losing sight of the larger project schedule and priorities.
  • Based in the Los Angeles area and available for regular in-person studio and project-site meetings.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between local project locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with high-end residential, hospitality, wellness, retail, or boutique commercial interiors.
  • Familiarity with custom millwork, finish specifications, FF&E, procurement, and installation.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design and documentation programs.
  • Experience using digital project-management, task-management, and team-communication platforms.
The Ideal Candidate

You are highly organized, communicative, and comfortable taking ownership. You understand that strong project management is not simply tracking deadlines—it is anticipating what each person needs, identifying gaps before they become problems, and ensuring the original design intent is carried through to completion.

You appreciate thoughtful design, but your greatest strength is execution. You bring structure to creative environments, communicate clearly, and know how to keep a project moving without sacrificing quality or the client experience.

To Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction describing:

  • The types of interior design or construction projects you have managed.
  • Your level of involvement during the construction phase.
  • One project you successfully guided through a challenge, delay, or coordination issue.

A portfolio, project list, or examples of relevant work are welcomed but not required.
