EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
EXPERIENCE
7 years of experience in enterprise data management, data governance, or analytics roles, preferably in financial services or banking. Direct experience in a leadership or senior hands-on role focused on data lake architecture and enterprise reporting. Track record implementing data governance programs and reporting solutions within a regulated environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Expertise designing and managing data lakes and cloud-based data platforms.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI for advanced analytics, data visualization, and self-service reporting.
- Deep knowledge of Fiserv, Salesforce, Encompass, and nCino, including data integration, APIs, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM), data privacy laws, and regulatory requirements in the U.S. banking sector.
- Proficiency with SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling tools.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and standards for enterprise data management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing the organization’s data and determining and implementing enterprise data solutions and services. This is a hands-on role with the scope of establishing our data integration strategy, data mining and data consumption structures.
Ability to develop a strategic vision for enterprise data and tactically execute that vision, while dealing with the demands of a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develop and manage the enterprise data lake architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
- Design, implement, and enforce enterprise-wide data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Lead the creation of strategic dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI, integrating data from Fiserv, Salesforce, Encompass, and nCino platforms.
- Champion data quality initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, and stewardship processes.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to identify key data sources and drive alignment between business objectives and data strategy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FFIEC, FDIC, GDPR, CCPA) related to data management and privacy.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance reporting and data governance capabilities.
- Conduct training and support for stakeholders on data governance best practices and reporting solutions.
- Monitor and optimize data flows and ETL processes across the organization.
- Maintain documentation for data management initiatives, including metadata, data lineage, and governance artifacts.
ANCILLARY DUTIES
Performs multiple tasks, duties, and jobs throughout the division, department, or unit in a way that permits the Enterprise Data Governance and Reporting Lead to be assigned to various activities, depending upon the characteristics and volume of the work.
