TMS Coordinator - Stony Brook Psychiatric Associates, UFPC  Location: East Setauket, NYSchedule: Full timeDays/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am -5:00pm; some evenings requiredPay: $22.00 - $27.47Our compensation philosophy aims to provide marketable compensation programs and to compensate employees based on relevant experience and education. Salaries vary depending on experience, education and current market for the position. Human Resources determines the external and internal equitable salary for each employee.

Responsibilities

Job Duties & Essential Functions:

•  Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or
• Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
• Maintains the TMS schedule
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with coil contact and TMS system setup throughout treatment while maintaining patient
• Administer psychiatric rating
• Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental-health setting required.
• Administer psychiatric rating scales
• Communicate with a lead TMS psychiatrist who oversee patient
• Support the Physician as
• Handle all patient information in a confidential and private manner, as in compliance with state and federal laws for mental
• Monitor patients physical and emotional well-being and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to physician.
• Take and record measure of patients physical condition using devices such as vital sign monitors, thermometers, blood pressure gauges in accordance with specified protocols and procedures.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Directors

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of TMS Certification (training and certification provided during first 3 months of employment).
• High School diploma/GED.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with seniors and patients with mood disorders
• Must be organized, detail oriented and comfortable with electronic medical record data

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Associates Degree.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day. Any additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management.
