Woodside Middle School is seeking an 8th Grade Math Teacher for the 20262027 school year. This position offers the benefit of a 4-day student week, providing additional time for planning, collaboration, and work-life balance while working in a supportive middle school environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging instruction aligned with Iowa Core Math Standards
- Develop lessons that promote problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and critical thinking
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of middle school learners
- Establish a structured and supportive classroom environment
- Implement effective classroom and behavior management strategies rooted in restorative practices
- Collaborate with grade-level and content teams and participate in professional learning
- Use student data and formative assessments to inform instruction and support student growth
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
Qualifications:
- Valid Iowa teaching license
- 5-8 Middle School Math endorsement or K-8 with Math endorsement or 5-12 Mathematics endorsement
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
