Job Title: Substitute School Nurse
Pay: $160.00/Day
Reports to: Building Principals
Position Summary:
The Substitute School Nurse supports the health and well-being of students and staff by providing temporary nursing services during the absence of the regular school nurse. This role involves administering basic medical care, managing student health needs, maintaining health records, and responding to health-related emergencies.
Qualifications:
Valid Nursing Certificate (RN or LPN, as required by the district)
Current CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
Prior experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide routine and emergency nursing care to students and staff
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with school policies and medical guidelines
Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records and documentation
Communicate with parents, staff, and healthcare providers as necessary
Promote and support a healthy school environment through education and disease prevention
Follow all district policies and procedures regarding student health and safety
Working Conditions:
Position is on-call and scheduled as needed
