Job Overview
SayCare Services, LLC is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Janitor/Housekeepers to join our team at the Omaha VA Medical Center.
We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift positions. The ideal candidates will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment and be able to perform assigned duties efficiently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces
- Empty trash and properly dispose of waste and recyclables
- Restock paper products, soap, and other supplies as needed
- Clean floors and perform other assigned custodial duties
- Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety requirements
- Properly use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while working in the facility
- Report maintenance, safety, or supply concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Complete assigned duties thoroughly and within established timeframes
Qualifications
- Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions, cleaning procedures, and safety requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the shift
- Ability to safely use standard janitorial equipment and cleaning products
- Experience working in a healthcare, hospital, government, or similar facility is a plus
Pay: $16.98 - $22.07 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
