We are seeking a Project Engineer III – Substation to lead and mentor engineers and CAD designers supporting General/Physical Layout and Protection & Control substation projects.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and schedule junior engineers, designers, and CAD team members
- Lead substation physical/layout and Protection & Control design
- Perform and direct engineering calculations and project design
- Support relay settings, testing, commissioning, and field activities
- Review and mark up complex substation plan sets
- Prepare specifications, bid documents, and project deliverables
- Serve as a customer point of contact and manage client relationships
- Support project planning and business development activities
- Promote company safety standards and best practices
🎓 Requirements:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license – Required
- 5–10 years of applicable substation engineering experience
- Strong experience with Physical Design and Protection & Control
- Knowledge of relay settings/programming, testing, and commissioning
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, designers, and clients
