Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lube Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized lube trucks to perform maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure equipment runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently across construction sites, industrial facilities, or fleet operations. Duties
- Operate lube trucks and auxiliary equipment to deliver lubrication, oil changes, and fluid services on heavy machinery and trucks.
- Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on construction machinery, industrial equipment, and fleet vehicles to maintain optimal performance.
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting by diagnosing mechanical issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge.
- Conduct safety checks on hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of performed maintenance tasks, and inventory of lubricants and parts used during operations.
- Support fabrication or assembly tasks as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with heavy construction or industrial equipment; dealership experience is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engine diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, trucks or tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools for automotive or heavy machinery repair.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems related to industrial equipment is a plus.
- Valid certifications in air brake systems, diesel mechanics, or heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external clients regarding maintenance needs.
