Company Description Sawko & Burroughs, P.C. is a law firm based in Denton, TX, We handle property tax collections, business law, personal injury law, real estate and general civil litigation. This position is in our property tax collection division.

Role Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented paralegal that is able to function in a fast paced environment and has worked for a title company, law firm or County government role in their tax department. This person will be focused in our tax collection department and will work with our other trained professionals assisting tax payers, filing lawsuits, and working with the public. We are seeking someone with experience but are willing train the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Preference is 3-5 years of prior experience. Bi-Lingual is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal pleadings, letters, and forms.
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, attorneys, courts, and the public.
- Proficiency in Administrative Assistance tasks, such as scheduling, file management, data entry, and maintaining organized case records.
- Proficient with common office and legal software (e.g., Microsoft Office, document management systems; familiarity with e-filing platforms preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
- Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or relevant legal office experience are strongly preferred.
Salary : $48,000 - $61,000
