Mobile Service Technician
Sawgrass Ford is hiring an experienced and highly motivated MOBILE technician to join our modern, climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facility.

WHAT WILLYOU DO?
As a mobile service technician, you are responsible for assessing, diagnosing and performing specified maintenance and repairs at various locations throughout the assigned territory with efficiency and accuracy. This is a full-time, field-based position that typically involves traveling to customers' locations, which may include construction sites, businesses, and residences, to diagnose and fix problems with their vehicles or equipment And requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently.
Technician Duties include but are not limited to:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with mobile equipment
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Repairing or replacing faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to determine the cause of problems and make necessary repairs
- Communicate regularly with service advisor/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
- Stay current in the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques across a number of brands.
- Follow established safety protocols and company policies
- Keep the company vehicle and tools in good condition
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices in all interactions to uphold Sawgrass Ford’s good image
Job Requirements include but are not limited to:
- 3 years of experience in a Service shop preferred
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and other mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong problem-solving skills
- ASE and manufacturer certifications are a plus!
- Positive attitude and a desire to learn
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Knowledgeable with safe and correct repairs needed for vehicles
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina
- Ability to communicate with managers and peers
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
