Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. This role is essential in supporting site preparation, grading, excavation, and installation of structural components for wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy equipment in accordance with project specifications and OSHA standards
- Perform excavation and grading for foundations, pipelines, and structures
- Assist in installation of underground utilities and process infrastructure
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
- Experience in water or wastewater plant construction highly desirable
- Ability to read site plans and follow grade stakes
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
