Heavy Equipment Operator

Overview

Salt Legacy Inc is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our land-clearing team. We are seeking a dependable, safety-minded operator who takes pride in quality work, well-maintained equipment, and a clean, finished job. Pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators and skid steers for land clearing work. Prior heavy-equipment operating experience strongly preferred. Dump truck operation and CDL are a plus.
• Experience with land clearing, site work, or similar construction work preferred.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic are needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow established equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance protocols.
• Follow project direction, safety procedures, and job-site expectations.
• Work productively with drivers, crew, and management.
• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, cranes, loaders, and dump trucks on active construction sites.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and routine maintenance procedures for various machinery.
• Willingness to work outdoors in Northwest Florida conditions.
• Hands-on experience is highly desirable.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating commercial trucks including dump trucks and roll-off trucks is exceptional.
• Ability to perform basic repairs effectively.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 per week
