Duties
- Manage the overall operations of the nursing home or assisted living facility, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
- Supervise clinical staff, including nurses and caregivers, ensuring adherence to medication administration protocols and safety standards.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to maintain fiscal health while delivering high-quality resident care.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to long-term care, assisted living, and home & community care services.
- Foster a positive work environment by providing leadership, supervision, and ongoing training to staff members.
- Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to support residents’ social well-being and transition needs.
- Maintain open communication with residents’ families regarding care plans, progress updates, and any concerns.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a nursing home or senior care setting with a strong background in operations management.
- Extensive knowledge of assisted living environments, memory care programs, Alzheimer’s care, and dementia-specific practices.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in group home settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively while fostering teamwork.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes, financial acumen related to healthcare operations, and regulatory compliance is essential.
- Hands-on experience in medication administration protocols and home & community care services is preferred.
