Compensation

$60.00–$65.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and assigned clinic.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday through Friday

a. Inpatient: 7 days on/7 days off, Wednesday-Tuesday 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am

b. Outpatient: Monday-Friday (7:30am - 4:30pm or 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm)

c. In addition to inpatient and outpatient schedules: Pharmacist shall be available for 24/7 shifts.

-Shift lengths will rotate between 8, 10, 11 or 12 hours and will not exceed 80 hours per two week pay period.

Position Summary

As a Pharmacist at JBER, you will deliver a full range of pharmaceutical services to active-duty military personnel, retirees, and their dependents across inpatient and outpatient military treatment facility settings. This position requires clinical excellence, attention to detail, strong patient communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment.

Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks:

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.

• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.

• Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.

• Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.

• Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.

• Compound medications as required.

• Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.

• Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Degree: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD

* Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).

* Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.

* Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist

* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

* Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
