Schedule: 12-hour shifts with three available shift options:

• Day Shift: 6:45 AM–6:45 PM
• Swing Shift: Start times may be 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, or 2:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:45 PM–6:45 AM

Pay: 47.00–51.00/hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000, paid on the first check after meeting all criteria

We're hiring full-time Registered Nurses – Emergency Room to support the Emergency Department at Newport News, VA and its surrounding cities.

What You'll Do

Core Nursing Duties:

• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Facilitate optimal patient outcomes related to clinical care, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and clinical practice guidelines.
• Perform physical examinations and obtain comprehensive health histories.
• Provide health promotion, counseling, and patient/family education.
• Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform other individualized nursing interventions.
• Direct and supervise patient care provided by other healthcare professionals and support personnel.
• Make patient-care assignments based on personnel scope of practice, qualifications, and skill level.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Make referrals and coordinate specialty care as appropriate.
• Perform nursing services and responsibilities identified in the applicable task order.
• Participate in research and quality-improvement activities supporting improved clinical practice and patient outcomes.

What You'll Need — Mandatory Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a college or university accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse within the last 2 years.

Licensure:

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the applicable task order.

Life Support Certification:

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Security:

• Must be able to successfully complete the required government background investigation/security clearance.
