Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Manager with 3–5 years of leadership experience in skincare or cosmetic manufacturing. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in quality control, procurement, and team leadership. This role ensures efficient production operations, regulatory compliance, cost control, and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Manage daily manufacturing operations, including formulation, mixing, filling, and packaging.
- Develop and execute production schedules aligned with demand forecasts.
- Manufacture products alongside staff as needed to meet timelines.
- Maintain batch records, traceability documentation, and audit readiness.
- Oversee BOM structures, recipe accuracy, and capacity planning.
- Track production KPIs (output, yield, lead time, waste).
- Report on monthly production performance and improvement initiatives.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, FDA regulations, and internal quality standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control protocols at every production stage.
- Investigate variances, conduct root cause analysis, and oversee batch testing.
- Promote and enforce safety policies, including PPE requirements.
Cost Control & Inventory
- Drive cost control, yield optimization, and waste reduction.
- Partner with Finance to monitor COGS and purchasing efficiency.
- Forecast raw material and packaging needs; manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels, material expirations, and storage compliance.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate production staff.
- Support HR with onboarding and training of new hires.
- Communicate regularly with leadership regarding production updates, staffing, and operational bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with HQ on new product launches and timelines.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in skincare, cosmetics, or personal care manufacturing, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and quality control standards.
- Experience with raw material and packaging procurement.
- Familiarity with ERP/inventory systems (e.g., Cin7, SOS Inventory, or similar).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Work Schedule
Full-time, on-site. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required during high production periods or product launches.
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
