Position Details

Savion is seeking an IT Product Manager to join our Information Technology department. The IT Product Manager possesses a natural curiosity and strong analytical skills useful for solving complex problems, complemented by collaboration skills and strong relationships across IT, security, and line of business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform priorities and improvement recommendations
  • Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders to shape the application strategy and identify and prioritize needs
  • Contribute to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements
  • Develop and recommend solutions by analyzing and evaluating current or new technology solutions
  • Continually drive product adoption through impactful communication and engagement with business users
  • Coordinate the deployment of a technology system between IT staff, business users, and third-party vendors or consultants
  • Create documentation such as specification, design, or training documents
  • Train or oversee the training of staff in the use of a new solution
  • Perform application-level configuration or management as needed
  • Execute or oversee QA efforts for a solution

Job Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities and with active participation as a team member for technology projects
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related program
  • Experience managing enterprise IT services, products or projects
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with a continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity
  • Ability to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals
  • Ability to quickly learn, implement, integrate and utilize new technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex technology to employees
  • Ability to effectively guide and sustain change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
  • Sufficient foundational technical knowledge to interact with a variety of technical staff or consultants
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar office productivity applications including Microsoft Visio and Project

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of energy industry preferred
  • Ability to document abstract models or processes using graphical modeling tools
  • Working knowledge in a variety of technology platforms
  • Experience with ERP or project management systems
