Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Pool Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various stages of pool installation and construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site work, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a strong work ethic. This position offers opportunities to develop skills across multiple trades within the construction industry, including concrete work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the excavation, framing, and forming of pool structures using blueprint reading and schematics.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to facilitate construction activities.
- Perform concrete finishing, masonry, plastering, and stucco application as needed.
- Install plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical components integral to pool functionality.
- Handle fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling materials for pool features.
- Assist with roofing, drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and glass or tile installation.
- Support site preparation including grading, backfilling, and surface finishing for hardscape and restoration projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure precise project execution.
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction site work or related trades such as masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or concrete finishing preferred; will train the right candidate.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for various construction tasks.
- Experience with concrete forming, framing carpentry, roofing, tile laying, or other specialized trades is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety compliance on active job sites.
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not mandatory depending on job location requirements. This role is vital to the successful completion of high-quality pool installations and offers valuable hands-on experience across multiple facets of construction projects within the industry.
