SUMMARY
Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and laboratory experiments for quality control, process support, and product development. Assist in the formulation, testing, and improvement of products with a focus on supporting both Plant 1 and Plant 2 operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support product development and product improvement projects aligned with company objectives.
- Work with suppliers and technical representatives to stay current on formulation materials and relevant technology.
- Conduct testing of raw materials and finished goods to ensure all products meet defined quality assurance standards.
- Maintain accurate written production specifications and support updates to the production manual.
- Assist in monitoring manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements across Plant 1 and Plant 2.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to review material costs and support evaluation of alternative suppliers without compromising product quality.
- Assist in preparing batch sheets, formula sheets, production reports, and related documentation.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers, addressing product questions and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Participate in compliance activities involving OSHA, environmental, fire safety, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Attend relevant trade shows, training, or seminars as assigned.
- Ensure printed materials—including labels, data sheets, and SDS—are technically accurate.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment and participate in company safety programs.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and testing standards as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific field and at least two years of laboratory or formulation experience; or an equivalent combination of education, on‑the‑job training, and experience.

Ability to apply mathematical concepts including statistics, ratios, percentages, and basic geometry/trigonometry to laboratory and production work.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect relevant data, follow detailed instructions, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret technical information presented in various formats.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
