An exciting opportunity has become available for the right candidate to join 54 Reasons within our Secondary Family Support Program. The Family Support Specialist role works with families with children 0-18 years, providing Case Management services with the aim of achieving positive and sustainable long-term change for children and young people.

In this full-time maximum term (available until December 2027) position, you’ll work as part of our Secondary Family Support team in North of Brisbane to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.
You will make a difference by:
- Providing support to families, children and young people using our Case Management Framework, addressing any identified barriers families may be facing in the areas of housing, parenting capacity, community supports, education and child development
- Developing rapport and positive working relationships with family members in line with our practice frameworks, specifically our Cultural Framework and Child iview Child Protection Practice Framework
- Using a strengths- based, trauma informed and child-centred approach to develop case management goals and support families to work toward these goals, making referrals to other services where appropriate

Yor deep expertise and thorough understanding of child rights, child protection and child safeguarding practices will be invaluable. You’re passionate about the early interventions space and have a child focused practice. You’re also relationship focused, able to build rapport with families, children and young people that transcends cultural and linguistic difference.
This role requires:
- A Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology or another relevant Human Services Degree
- Experience working families, children and young people, experience in case management preferrable.
- Experience providing case management to people of diverse backgrounds, including children and young people
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Drivers Licence
