Work Schedule: Sun - Friday - 7am start - (Off days: Thursday and Saturday)
Purpose
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the general cleaning of the warehouse, offices, restrooms, break rooms and exterior grounds of the Distribution Center.
Responsibilities
Gather debris and trash such as cardboard, tape, shrink wrap, paper and damaged product resulting from distribution functions, taking items to designated areas for re-coupe or disposal
Track dumped product for proper inventory adjustments and report numbers to the inventory department
Sweep, mop and dust warehouse areas including but not limited to break rooms, restrooms, offices and exterior grounds
Maintain pest control stations as required by SAL policy
Fill out required paperwork for job completion tracking.
Safely operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, sit down forklift, floor scrubber, and reach trucks
Adhere to company policies, standards and best practices
About You
Must be 18 years of age
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Successful Completion of Powered Industrial Truck Operators Training (PITOT) certification required. (Training provided by the company)
Attention to detail and have strong communication skills in English
Must be able to count accurately, match and write numbers and Positive work history including safety and attendance
Strong work Ethic
Team spirit, self-motivated and initiative to support the needs of a fast pace environment
Willingness to work required shift schedules and varying days of the week including holidays and/or weekends
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, bend, walk, kneel, squat, turn, reach, pull, push and lift up to 85 pounds, in a fast pace environment for extended period of time
Regularly works in freezers, coolers and refrigerators in temperatures as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit
Must have the ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time
Requires the ability to push, pull, grasp, twist and use sawing motions for extended periods of time
