About Us: The Savannah Yacht Club is a private, family-oriented club located on the Wilmington River on Whitemarsh Island, in Savannah Georgia. We are dedicated to member satisfaction through superior service and quality facilities.
Summary: Responsible for general cleanliness of the main kitchen dish area and other Food and Beverage kitchen prep areas. Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware, and glassware.
Job Tasks/ Duties:
- Cleans and stores all utensils, dishes, glasses, etc. for food service and food preparation.
- Removes trash from the kitchen.
- Maintains clean and sanitized floors.
- Maintains a clean and safe work station throughout shift.
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen area, as well as walk-in coolers and freezer.
- Reports any damage, plumbing, or other maintenance issues.
- Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees.
- Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards.
- Works variety of shifts, as needed, to include nights, weekends and/ or holidays.
- Complies with departmental and club policies and procedures.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for 90-100% of your shift.
- Lifting, carrying or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 50% of shift.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of shift.
