Job Family Description
Mission Analysts utilize multiple intelligence disciplines to support the operational success of the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. Professionals in these roles are responsible for conducting continuous all-source intelligence assessments for topics that could impact critical mission areas and synthesize these into actionable analyses of these mission programs, facilities, and equipment in key mission facilities against an ever-changing threat environment. Personnel are expected to harness their training and experience in varying intelligence disciplines to identify and assess subversion risks against current/future threats. They assure Nuclear Weapon production and nuclear material processing capabilities are not subverted through the development and maintenance of threat assessments, risk models, and mitigation strategies.
Discipline Description
Intelligence analyst personnel analyze, assimilate, and evaluate relevant intelligence information critical to the successful execution of SRS missions, especially those related to national security and nuclear weapon stockpile maintenance. They ensure intelligence information is assessed and integrated into the security programs that protect government information, nuclear weapon production capabilities, and other critical mission areas.
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include
The Weapons Assurance Manager provides direction and oversight for implementation of the weapons assurance program requirements and activities at SRTE to ensure compliance with NNSA SD 452.4-1, Nuclear Enterprise Assurance (NEA). This function leverages diverse intelligence disciplines to evaluate and identify subversion risk to vital mission elements and inform risk mitigation strategies for SRTE.

- Provide leadership and direction for weapon assurance personnel.
- Develop departmental strategies to meet long term company objectives for nuclear enterprise assurance for an assigned facility/process.
- Ensure departmental training and qualification programs meet NNSA expectations and requirements.
- Coordinate with program management to ensure funding and resources to achieve long-term strategic objectives.
- Communicate with federal and contractor customers and partners to promote transparency, improvements, and issue resolution in support of mission delivery
- Partner with other assurance organizations in the nuclear security enterprise to implement or improve processes and policies
- Provide timely communication to federal customers at SRS NNSA field office and division level headquarters on key performance elements and processes.
- Collaborate with intelligence community on emerging threat intelligence and provide direction on mitigation strategy development.
- Primary point of contact for NSE complex level teams for NEA.
- Demonstrated experience in multiple intelligence disciplines and evaluation of subversion risks.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement intelligence-driven mitigation strategies to safeguard the nuclear weapon stockpile, national security interests, and other mission-critical priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Eight or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus five or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus three or more year of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
- Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
