Business services managers oversee critical business support functions, such as finance, procurement, contracts, and project controls. They lead cross-functional teams to optimize business processes, drive efficiency, and maintain compliance with DOE directives, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and company policies. They collaborate with senior management, executive leadership, operational teams, and customer stakeholders to provide strategic guidance on budgeting, workforce planning, supply chain management, and enterprise systems. They are responsible for performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business operations and support mission success. Additionally, they foster a culture of accountability and innovation, ensuring business services effectively enable safe, secure, and efficient operations.
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include
The Director Of EMO is responsible for management of the following scopes:
Approximately $350 million direct support budget
Staffing, headcount planning and sustainment for EMO facilities
Reporting
Continuous improvement and Cost Savings Program
Contractor Assurance
Risk Management for EM facilities
MOUs
EM Integration Meetings
Infrastructure Planning
Tour liaison for EM facilities
Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan including Fee Invoicing System
Represent EM on the Business Manager Council
Annual Budget Planning
Other duties as requested by the Sr. Vice President.
Required Qualifications
Experience in indirect budgeting, direct budgeting (G2), small project coordination, reporting, continuous improvement, staffing and headcount, CAS, excessing, MOUs, records processing, and asset management.

- Fifteen or more YOE as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed plus six or more years of experience (YOE) in a relevant management role, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus twelve or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus eight or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
- Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
