The ideal candidate will ensure nutritious, high-quality meals are prepared and served efficiently in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our students and staff. This position works a 6 hour shift during each student attendance day, with the potential to work additional days and/or hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals in accordance with established menus and nutritional guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with USDA, DESE, and local health department regulations.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food ordering, inventory control, recordkeeping, and cash handling.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure a safe, positive, and efficient work environment.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain accurate records for meal counts, production, and inventory.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food Services to plan menus and control costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the Food Services Department.
