The Savannah Convention Center is currently seeking a full time Set-up Attendant to join our team! The Setup Attendant shall be responsible for performing routine duties and completing setup requirements associated with the day-to-day activities of the Operations Department. Duties include but are not limited to: manual labor, event setup and tear down activities, compliance with equipment handling guidelines, and such other functions and duties as required by the Operations Manager and/or Operations Coordinators.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional image that represents the philosophy of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority with emphasis upon providing the highest level of customer service deemed possible.
- Lift moderate amounts of weight in the form of tables, chairs, and stanchions, staging floor panels and dance floor panels and other equipment as required.
- Push equipment carts, door panels and staging units, and other equipment as required.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Assume responsibility for equipment assigned (i.e., two-way radios, keys, tapes, etc.).
- Maintain equipment by following established setup procedures.
- Maintain all storage rooms in a clean and orderly manner.
- Notify Operations Manager and/or Operations Coordinators of equipment and facilities in need of repair and replacement.
- Notify Operations Manager and/or Operations Coordinators of supplies requiring replenishment.
- Supervise part-time and contracted staff in assigned tasks as required.
- Complete daily assignments as assigned and interact with other departmental personnel in a cooperative manner.
- Such other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Operations Coordinators.
- High degree of integrity and compliance.
- Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up, and completion.
- Self-awareness.
- Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to bend, stand and stoop for long periods of time.
- Strong orientation to customer service and embraces teamwork.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to converse clearly with managers, employees and guests.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum 6 months experience as Set-up Attendant or comparable position in a multi-purpose facility, hotel or related operation preferred.
- Experience in providing customer service directly to customers.
- Ability to demonstrate basic setup techniques.
