Position Title: Banquet Set-Up Attendant

Position Summary
The Banquet Set-Up Attendant is responsible for the efficient and timely preparation, set-up, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring that all function spaces meet the standards of the property. This includes arranging tables, chairs, linens, décor, and equipment according to event orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and supporting banquet service staff during events when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans, including tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, staging, and other event equipment.
- Ensure all meeting and event spaces are clean, organized, and ready for guests prior to the start of each function.
- Break down and clean event spaces promptly following events; return all equipment and supplies to designated storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms, hallways, and service areas.
- Report any maintenance, safety, or inventory issues to the Banquet Manager or supervisor.
- Assist banquet servers with event execution as needed (e.g., refilling water, clearing plates, replenishing buffet items).
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with property policies and local regulations.
- Support the set-up and maintenance of audiovisual equipment as directed.
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests and team members at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous banquet, hospitality, or event setup experience preferred, but not required.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Physically able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and carrying items throughout shift.
- Ability to push/pull banquet carts and move furniture and equipment safely.
- Ability to work extended hours based on event schedules.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- May require both indoor and outdoor event setups depending on venue.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, depending on event locations and conditions.
