Position Summary: This position encompasses a wide range of financial functions. This role will primarily focus on managing the accounts payable and assisting with data analysis. The accounts payable responsibilities include but are not limited to receiving, reviewing, inputting, obtaining approvals and preparing for payment of all invoices. This position requires communicating effectively with internal and external customers, attention to detail and precise data entry, an understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity. The secondary responsibility will involve data analysis.
Job Duties:
- Accounts Payable:
- Process and reconcile invoices, vendor statements, and expense reports for payment in a timely manner.
- Apply the “three-way” match principle (vendor invoice, purchase order, and receiving report).
- Track credits owed to the company.
- Respond to queries from vendors and staff in a timely manner.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies or other matters.
- Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
- Maintain W9 files for vendors
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly accounts payable reports and GRNI (Goods Received, Not Invoiced) reports.
- Provide audit support during internal and external audits.
- Data Analysis:
- Gather data utilizing various sources, including internal databases, financial statements, and third-party data providers.
- Analyze trends, costs, and revenues to predict future revenues and expenses, helping management make informed decisions.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
· Min. AA degree with focus in accounting.
· Proven experience in accounts payable and financial analysis.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
