The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities in assigned communities, ensuring homes are built safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating trade partners, inspecting work, and resolving field issues to deliver homes that meet customer and company expectations.
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities from start to completion
- Manage and schedule trade partners to maintain production timelines
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications
- Ensure all construction meets local building codes and company standards
- Identify and resolve construction issues in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites at all times
- Communicate regularly with Construction Managers, Sales, Warranty, and Purchasing teams
- Review and approve completed trade work prior to payment
- Assist with inspections (municipal, internal, and homeowner walkthroughs as needed)
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies across all jobsites
- Manage material deliveries and verify correct installation
- Document progress, delays, and field changes accurately
- 3 years of residential construction or field supervision experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Experience working with subcontractors and vendors
- Solid understanding of local building codes (Horry County preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple homes and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient with mobile technology and construction management software
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to walk jobsites daily and climb stairs/ladders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions typical of coastal South Carolina
