Warehouse Receiving Specialist

About the Role

Saunders Electronics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Specialist to support our electronics manufacturing operations. This role is primarily responsible for receiving, inspecting, kitting, and managing incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and traceability throughout the inventory process.

This position also serves as a backup to shipping operations, including packaging and preparing finished goods, ensuring continuity in meeting customer delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Focus – Receiving & Inventory Control

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming electronic components and materials against purchase orders
• Accurately count, identify, and document materials in ERP/inventory systems
• Perform kitting, stocking, and material storage in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain inventory accuracy and traceability, including lot control where applicable
• Ensure proper handling of electronic components, including ESD compliance
• Utilize barcoding systems, scanners, and labeling equipment for efficient material tracking
• Organize and maintain stockroom areas for efficiency, cleanliness, and audit readiness
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Inventory teams to resolve discrepancies and shortages

Secondary Focus – Shipping & Packaging (Backup Support)

• Package finished goods to meet customer, quality, and protection requirements
• Prepare shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL, and other carriers as needed
• Verify shipping documentation and ensure accuracy of outbound orders
• Support shipping operations during peak demand, absences, or workload balancing
• Assist in maintaining shipping supplies and packaging standards

What We’re Looking For

• 2 years of experience in receiving, stockroom, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of inventory control, material flow, and receiving processes
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (high level of accuracy required)
• Familiarity with electronic components and ESD handling practices preferred
• Experience with product packaging and shipment preparation is a plus
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational needs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an electronics manufacturing (EMS/ECM) environment
• Familiarity with lot traceability and material control systems
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience (if applicable)
